Late July Update

Hello everyone, how is your days going? :D

I just realized I haven't submit anything for the past weeks. Got a lot of things in my mind right now. Works, college, and community projects filled my head with deadlines. And somehow I don't have any idea what to draw. I feel like my drawings are being repetitive in terms of theme. Well, actually it's OK but I want to do something different.

Moreover, my CPU is tripping balls. Ever since I changed my motherboard, my CPU usage is off the chart. I only played Minecraft (and I don't turn any other application on) and the usage went through the roof. I should probably change my Processor, or just re-install the OS.

Anyway, lots of things happening on my community project this month. We got featured in magazine, interviewed on local radio, and of course taking part on various event to promote our community. It really makes me happy, seeing the community expanding widely since the first time I joined.

So... probably I won't be submitting much drawing these weeks. But if I get a free time (and fixed my PC) I'll try to do some drawing.

Late May Update : VOCALO.ID 2!

Hello everyone :D

It's May already! And my community's collaboration album VOCALO.ID is nearly finisthed. I've finished my song and the cover artwork, so I'm pretty much free right now. I haven't got a job for now, so I thought I should be more productive, but damn you Internet for giving me useless things that wastes all my time and I ended up doing nothing.

So right now, I'm trying to back into my favorite DAW Ableton, trying to do some composition. It's strange how inspiration can only came to us when we are in the bathroom. (-_-)a  I spend the last month trying to understand the composition of Dubstep. It's an eye-opening experience, because till then I haven't utilized all those tools for mixing. I simply balance the volume level, but now I know that sto much more can be done to make my music sounds better.

Anyway, now I finally have things to do, and I also will try to draw something so my skills won't rot away XD See you next time!

Vocaloid Workshop by VOCAPOST Community

Last week, our Vocaloid community  VOCAPOST held a workshop about Vocaloid. Being one of the producers, I became one of the speaker to do the presentation. We're explaining all about Vocaloid, the history, the cultural impacts and of course, the software itself.

I'm quite nervous when speaking in front of peoples, but I think I got it well. With the help from others I can overcome my nervousness and the workshop is quite a success, even though there's a couple of minor problem when tutoring the process of making sequence in Vocaloid Editor.

And we are going to do this again in May! So I have to be more prepared, and brush up my presentation skill. See you next time! xD

Late March Update

Hi there, a bit late update from me this month.

Recently I've been trying to get a work, so I was kind of busy. But I managed to spare some times for practices. This month I was trying to design a CD Case for my music album.

 

So that's what it looks like. I'm trying to keep it simple, it's my principle in every design of mine. And as you can see, I'll be giving out posters as well. But the realization for this project might be still a long time from now, because I need to focus on my community's compilation album.

Scanner is dead

...so i may not post some major drawing project for now. Just when i have tons of sketches to draw digitally, this happens. Why, oh why OAO

So anyway, i'm working on our community's next project to celebrate our country's anniversary day on August 17th. We remix our national songs with our style. Because Indonesia has a lot of them, well... we got a lot of song to choose xD.

So far the song is already completed, so now I'm working on the artwork. Just a simple & bright artwork, because i want to set the mood of this song to be happy, cheerful & fun.

Woohoo, i'm so excited, this is my first time collaborating in a compilation album.

So far our promotion friends in Malang City had printed the merchandises. It looks awesome!

 

The album will be net-released on June 5th!

Little Update

How's everyone doing?

I've been busy with college, and making songs for two compilation album last month. Not to mention i gotta work a little for the artwork too. I never done this before, making two song at once. As a result, well... it hasn't finished yet OTL.

But it's cool, i can definitely finished it. Just need to spare some time, which i rarely have these days. But i still do those "doodles before bed" thing. It seems i can't erase this habit, hahaha.

Good day, fellas.

Since the last time i composed a song, i'm beginning to realized something. Do my songs get monotone on the composition? Or is it a good sign of consistency? So i've been thinking, and i've decided, for my next song, i'll try a different genre. Still choosing between Techno or Easy-Listening type, but hell, i'll do both. I'll do the Techno first.

So... oh yeah, i haven't posted the poster for my last song here, so here it is.

And another 'teaser poster' for my next song... well, i already put it as my channel's background in YouTube but, hell, here it is.

#1 Western Vocaloid Ranking ( i ranked 20th and 17th!)

Wow, i didn't expect my songs can enter the rankings. I ranked 17th and 20th, though. But it's a start, so i'll do my best for the next songs.





After i listen to all of the songs in the ranking, i realized that not much producers that makes vocarock genre. That makes me think about what to do with my future project. I should focus in one specialization, one genre. Well, maybe i can add a little bit of other genre to it, as long as it doesn't change the main genre.

So i'll be focusing to Jam-Rock genre from now. Hope i can be better in the future.
